HTC may announce the M7 smartphone from the floor of CES in Las Vegas, but that could also happen a month later at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In any case, we look forward to see the Taiwanese company’s next flagship device, one that could potentially help HTC get back to the game.

We’ve already told you about the specs sheet – the M7 will rock a 4.7-inch full HD (1080p) touchscreen, 2GB of RAM, quad-core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, a ton of built-in storage and a memory expansion slot. Now we have another piece of information to add to the puzzle: those who had a chance to play with the M7 unit describe it as all black, carrying a few design cues from the Droid DNA. Moreover, the UI is “simple and clean,” which could be the new version of HTC Sense (5.0).

Hopefully we’ll get all the details within the next few days, or at worst, within month and a half. Stay tuned as we bring you more…
