LG’s press conference was severely lacking any kind of enthusiasm or spark, and that’s putting it gently. Between yawns and fighting the urge to take a nap, LG’s executives answered one very important question from the audience – would LG be making the jump to the Android OS? The answer was a resounding (well, “resounding” relative to the muted overall presentation) “yes.”
As LG’s executives put it, LG is working to bring a couple Android-powered smartphones for this year. That would put LG on track to announce the Android smartphones in the near-term – perhaps by CTIA next month.
