With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Samsung is attempting to make Android devices the new Valentine’s Day present. Samsung last week released a Garnet Red version of the Galaxy S III, which was so well received that Samsung  today released a Garnet Red Edition of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet. The Garnet Red Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be available for a limited time only, and will come with a matching Garnet Red case.

“This new eye-catching version of the Galaxy Tab 2 offers endless entertainment in the palm of your hand, while the stylish Garnet Red look will set you apart from the crowd,” said Michael Abary, Senior Vice President, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “The  has been incredibly well-received, so we are happy to make the same brilliant color available for our Galaxy Tab 2 as well.”

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Garnet Red Edition shares the exact same specs as the existing model you can find today, so this is just a color change-up and that’s just fine with us!  The tablet will be offered at $219.99, available while supplies last, and can be purchased from Walmart, Amazon.com, Office Depot, Fry’s, Tiger Direct, Toys”R”Us and a few other retailers.

So if you haven’t bought your special someone (or someones) their Valentine’s day present yet, here’s a great deal that is sure to put a smile on their face.
