UK wireless carrier Everything Everywhere (EE) is rolling out its 4G network at an incredible rate. Nearly three months after the carrier started offering service, its coverage now extends to 27 cities and towns or 45% of the UK’s population. EE says its network expansion is ahead of schedule and it hopes to cover 98 percent of the population by 2014.
EE, a partnership between Orange UK and T-Mobile UK, is the first and only carrier in the UK to offer 4G service. Rival carriers O2, Vodafone and Three are currently in the middle of bidding war on spectrum that was recently released by the government. The auction started on January 23rd and should end in the coming weeks.
