It is said that Huawei will use the big show in Barcelona to unveil the Ascend P2, yet again claiming the “world’s thinnest smartphone” title. And while we’ve heard the specs before, today we have the first “in the wild” photos to show you, plus few more details to add to the story.

You see, the latest rumor suggests the Chinese company will offer the Ascend P2 in two flavors, a budget variant for China and another one for the more demanding Western markets. The former will ship with only a gig of RAM and will be available for 3,000 Yuan (about $482), while the latter will have the “now standard” 2GB of RAM. We’ve no idea how much the latter version will cost, though.

In addition, it is said that Huawei may also launch the Ascend P2 Mini, which would obviously have a smaller screen with diagonal of 4 inches (with WVGA resolution). We can’t tell you anything more at the moment, but we’ll make sure to get back to you with more information as soon as we get ’em. Stay tuned…
