Skuku joins mobile VoIP space

Skuku logoAnother company is joining the ever growing mobile VoIP space. It’s called Skuku and they’ve launched a Windows Mobile client to allow low-cost phone calls for the users of smartphones running Microsoft’s mobile OS.

By now you probably already know how these things work – you start the app and it will route international calls through Internet, hence saving you some money along the way. Similarly (like with other such services), inter-network calls between Skuku users are free.

On the similar note, the company also developed a USB handset and USB stick called Skuku roaming, with an idea to allow customers to place mobile calls and send SMS over Internet connections using their GSM mobile SIM card.

So when you place a call with Skuku all you pay is your local airtime and that’s it. Or to put it in other words, it’s like Truphone and Skype. 😉
