Alcatel unveiled a new smartphone before Mobile World Congress. The new One Touch Star is a low-to-mid end device with specs that include a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing one, a microSD card slot, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 1,500 mAh battery. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show.

Price was not unveiled, but know that Alcatel One Touch Star will be available in few color options and two different models, one with a single SIM card slot and the other one that can “handle” two networks at once (model number 6010D). We’re also not sure which markets Alcatel targets with this phone though something tells us they’re aiming for parts of Asia. We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this…
