LG is providing us with a glimpse of a new technology that will bring wireless transmission of content from smartphones to Ultra HD TV’s in real time. The technology can take 1080p video and transmit it to a TV. LG’s Wireless Ultra High Definition Transmission technology will be debuted at MWC in Barcelona earlier today, and is looking pretty sweet.

The new technology is promising to make the delivery of multimedia smartphone content to TV’s with minimal lag and data loss, and uses WiFi connections and Miracast technology to achieve delivery with amazing resolution. The content is automatically adjusted to match the TV’s screen resolution during transmission.
The new transmission technology reduces the processing burden on the smartphone’s CPU and other hardware, consuming less than half of the power of similar transmission technologies. It is looking quite impressive, and LG is definitely paving the way for easier multimedia sharing to High Definition TV sets.
