Skyfire Web Browser 5.0 now out for Android

Skyfire Web Browser 5.0 is now available for download through Google Play store. The version of the popular browser adds extensions, allowing users to easily access some of the popular services while going though web pages (and without leaving Skyfire).

There are almost 20 mobile browser extensions to choose from, all of which can be personalized within the toolbar. You can easily share stuff on social networks, find shopping deals and/or save content for later. Moreover, thanks to the integrated contextual engine, the toolbar content is both relevant and useful, bringing recommendations on apps and browser utilities facilitated by partnerships with Blue Kangaroo, Quixey and Readability.

On the downside though, Skyfire Web Browser 5.0 doesn’t support Flash to make for a faster web experience. According to the company’s CEO Jeff Glueck, Skyfire decided to focus its attention and resources on “evolving our ground-breaking mobile browser, and less on rendering Flash video for mobile devices that no longer support it.” Existing Skyfire Web Browser 4.0 users who have upgraded to access Flash video viewing capability will be able to continue watching Flash-based video…
