Samsung used its annual developer day at Mobile World Congress to announce the new Samsung Wallet app. We don’t have all the details yet but as far as we’ve understood, it’s an app made to rival Apple’s Passbook, allowing user to securely store important information such as tickets, boarding passes, cards and coupons.
The API will be released in May of this year and in the meantime only a select group of developers can try it out, and eventually tie-in their apps with Sammy’s service/app. It remains to be seen whether the upcoming Galaxy S IV will ship with Samsung Wallet on board…
