What’s possibly the sleekest Android tablet today is set to get the LTE treatment in Japan on March 22nd. That tablet would be the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, if you were unaware. Sony announced its new flagship tablet for Japan in late January, and more recently announced global availability for the rest of the world at Mobile World Congress.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is one hell of a device, as it’s rocking best in class hardware, all while staying super slim (6.9mm) and ultra light (495 grams). Sony most certainly brought out the big guns with its latest flagship devices like the Xperia Z and the Tablet Z, both of which can go toe to toe with any competition.

As a refresher course, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z rocks a 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 display, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU,  2GB  RAM, 32GB internal storage, 8.1 megapixel rear-facing camera, NFC, LTE, microSD card slot, IR blaster, 6,000 mAh battery, and much more.

NTT Docomo will open the gates to pre-order the LTE-enabled Sony Xperia Tablet Z on March 9th, with the official release on the 22nd.

If you’ve been itching for a new LTE-enabled Android tablet, your first stop should be the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. While the release is currently for Japan only, we can only hope that the rest of the world will get such treatment in the coming months.
