HTC will launch a special, unlocked version of its flagship smartphone in the U.S. The newly announced HTC One Developer Edition is the same as the “regular” smartphone though it comes with unlocked bootloader and no carrier contracts whatsoever. In other words, it’s not just for developers but anyone who likes his/her gadgets unlocked and without carrier’s “interventions.”

Again, HTC’s baby rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, 4.7-inch full HD screen, front-facing speakers, 3G/4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, metallic body, and so on and on.

The HTC One Developer Edition will be available in limited quantities to customers with a US Zip Code for $649 when the HTC One is released in the United States.
