On Thursday evening, Facebook sent out press invitations to an April 4th event that invites journalists to “Come See Our New Home On Android.” Facebook didn’t provide any details on their invite, but the Android theme did kick up a bunch of fresh Facebook phone rumors like this one from TechCrunch
According to the rumor, Facebook isn’t working on its own phone that it’ll design and sell. Instead, the company is working on a version of Android that is tied deeply into the Facebook framework, much like Amazon and its version of Android that is present on the Kindle Fire. Facebook’s push into Android may involve handsets made by HTC.
