The LG Optimus G Pro could very well be making its way to the U.S. soon, according to Android Central. The 5.5-inch model will likely be coming to AT&T, launching on May 10th.

The U.S. model is rumored to have the same screen size as the Korean version, coming in at 5.5-inches, which is a little larger than the 5-inch Japanese version. The Optimus G Pro is a high-end  handset, which runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a Snapdragon 600 chipset with a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor. The device will include 32 GB of internal memory, 2 GB of RAM, and will be sporting a 13 MP rear facing camera.

The timing of the release of the LG Optimus G Pro will pit the device against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One, which should begin shipping before the rumored May 10th release date of the Optimus G Pro. The phablet device is also set to take on the still popular Galaxy Note II as well.

The release date has yet to be officially announced, and is subject to change. Android Central’s source could not confirm the device’s availability on carriers other than AT&T, so keep your eyes peeled for carrier announcements as we get closer to the rumored release date of May 10th.
