Samsung’s newly unveiled Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 phablets will start selling at some point next month and the Korean company is bullish to move quite a few of them. According to DigiTimes‘ industry sources, Samsung has ordered 1 million 5.8-inch screens a month for the smaller of the two Galaxy Mega devices from few Taiwanese makers, mainly Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and Giantplus Technology. Shipping 1 million Galaxy Mega 5.8 units is pretty optimistic but something tells me these guys know what they’re doing.

Samsung’s strategy is to order panels for its mid-range mobile devices from other companies while keeping production of AMOLED-based based screens in-house.

As you’re probably aware, the market for large-size smartphones is booming with a number of companies launching their own such products, including Huawei, ZTE, Pantech and LG. Moreover, we’ll most likely see new contenders joining the trend later this year. In the meantime, we’re eager to know how you like the new Galaxy Mega series? Would you be interested in buying any of these two? Or you prefer something else?
