With Google I/O just around the corner, tech enthusiasts worldwide are starting to get excited about what Google will be debuting at the event. Google’s annual developers conference has traditionally been the place where Google unveils its new and exciting technology and gadgets, and we have plenty to be excited about this year. A revamped version of the Nexus 7 tablet is being speculated to make its appearance at the event, keeping the best features of Google’s iPad killer with a few enhancements.

The next iteration of the Nexus 7 is rumored to be released in July, with Wi-Fi and cellular capabilities baked in. It may be touting a slimmer bezel design, and will have a full HD display. Pricing is expected to be on par with the current models, which start at $199. Previous rumors have also claimed that the updated Nexus 7 will be released in July, so this is beginning to bode well for those who are hoping to see a refresh in the coming months.

Another rumor we’ve heard about the next Nexus 7 is that Google may be making a processor change, dropping NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 that currently graces the Nexus 7 for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Asus is still expected to manufacture the device.

Google I/O commences on May 15th in San Francisco, where all will be revealed. Check back with us for more rumors and updates, as well as coverage of the event as well.
