Nokia Lumia 928 to hit Verizon next month, says Bloomberg

We’ve been hearing about Nokia and Verizon working on a special release of the Lumia 920 for quite some time. Now the latest nugget of news on this mysterious phone comes from Bloomberg, as the publication is reporting that Nokia and Verizon have come to terms in bringing the Finnish company’s forthcoming flagship, the Lumia 928. The new device is expected to launch sometime next month.

Bloomberg’s sources go even further, saying that the Lumia device that will launch on Verizon will have a metal body, a 4.5-inch touchscreen, an 8-megapixel camera and wireless charging. Although the outside is expected to have some cosmetic changes the inside is largely expected to remain the same as the Lumia 920.

Of course, neither Nokia nor Big Red have confirmed the existence of a Lumia 928. However if this rumor does turn out to be true, it would be incredibly beneficial for Nokia. The company is struggling to stay relevant and is scrapping to keep a hold of any piece of market share, as it battles companies like HTC and Samsung. Having its flagship device on the top two cellular providers in the United States is a good start in the right direction.

We’ll find out sooner or later.
