Verizon is getting into the cloud storage game by releasing its Verizon Cloud app, which provides users a convenient way to back up and store their digital life. The app allows Verizon customers to choose files to be uploaded into the cloud, such as text messages, images, videos, music and documents that can be accessed whenever the user has a data connection. The Verizon Cloud app backs up and syncs data securely to Verizon’s servers. Files can also be accessed in a web app via any computer.

Verizon is not providing this service for free, however. Customers with supported devices will receive 500MB for free, with pricing being $2.99/month for 25GB of storage, $5.99/month for 75GB, and $9.99/month for 125GB. Supported devices at the moment are the HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola DROID X, DROID X2, DROID 2 Global, Samsung DROID Charge, Fascinate, Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2, and 10.1, Incredible, Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Note 10.1. Verizon claims that it will bring the service to more of its devices soon, although no clear dates have been mentioned.

If you’re a Verizon customer looking for a cloud storage solution with modest pricing, this could be just what you’ve been looking for.
