Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note III to Pack 3 GB of RAM, Octa-Core Processor?

Thanks to SamMobile, we now have some new rumors about Samsung’s Galaxy Note III phablet. The device is tipped to be touting a 5.99″ Full HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 5 Octa-Core processor,  a Mali 450 GPU with eight cores and a whopping 3 GB of RAM. The device will be running the newest version of Android, which was previously thought to be Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, but it’s now looking like Android 4.3 will be the next iteration of Google’s operating system.

As for the aesthetics of the device, the Galaxy Note III will bear a striking resemblance to the Galaxy Mega 5.8, but with a smaller bezel. The design is still unfinished, and we may see a flexible OLED screen if Samsung can get the technology in order before the Galaxy Note III’s release. A design akin to the Galaxy S4 is also a strong possibility.

Samsung will surely be pre-installing some of its software on the device, similar to the Galaxy S4, which has a nearly 8 GB of Samsung software on its internal storage. Although we’re not exactly sure which software features will be making it to the device, we may see some software features such as dual camera mode and Air Play grace the Galaxy Note III. Touch-Wiz will more than likely be on the device as well. While we are still unsure what other hardware the Galaxy Note III will be touting, it would not be surprising if the unit was equipped with sensors similar to the Galaxy S4, which would enable the use of Samsung’s Smart Scroll and Gesture View.

The device is expected to be announced later this year around August or September, and make its debut in Berlin this year at the IFA conference, as the Galaxy Note II was announced at the same conference in 2012.
