Famous Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is preparing to launch another Android smartphone, this time packing a 4.7-inch display with (most likely) 720p HD screen resolution.
According to those who had a chance to try out the upcoming “Red Rice” smartphone, it will be one fancy device that offers quite a bang for the buck ($130). Inside, it will pack a dual-core Leadercore LC1810 Cortex A9 processor running at 1.2Ghz, dual-mode (TD-SCDMA and GSM) connectivity, 1GB of RAM, dual cameras, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot.
As for the launch date, it is said that Xiaomi may wait until October to officially announce the “Red Rice.” At that time, we also expect to see the company’s flagship device, Xiaomi Mi3 (with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800), being unveiled.
And yet again we doubt this Xiaomi phone will be available outside of China. Perhaps few surrounding countries get it, perhaps not. We’ll let you know if we hear that it’s coming to Europe or the Americas.
