Sony’s upcoming Xperia UL smartphone has been caught in the wild on its way to Japan’s KDDI. Not all details are available at the moment, but we do know that this Sony handset will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, which is also used in the LG Optimus G Pro and some versions of Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

In addition, the UL will also pack 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 2,300mAh battery and most likely mobile TV support so that busy Japanese can entertain themselves while on the go.

Unfortunately, we’ve no idea whether this phone will ever hit the Western hemisphere. Sony’s other phone, Xperia Z, could certainly use the specs boost to compete with high-end models from HTC and Samsung. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this…
