Apple has been hard at work striking deals with record companies over the last week, with Sony Music Entertainment being the latest to jump on board yesterday afternoon. The record company deals allude to the release of Apple’s rumored iRadio service, which will be a streaming music service similar to that of Pandora and Google Play Music All Access.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple could be announcing the iRadio service at its WWDC conference on June 10th. Apple has already signed agreements with Universal Music and Warner Music Group, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Apple’s new music streaming service is expected to be free of cost, thanks to Apple’s iAds which will be both visual and audio based. The service will allow users to create custom radio stations based on specific genres or artists.
