The second generation Nexus 7 tablet has been one of the most anticipated devices of 2013, with its appearance tipped for a Google I/O appearance. With no word from Google about the device at I/O, the rumors of the devices launch have been louder than ever. A new Bluetooth SIG filing has appeared today, shedding some more light on the second-generation Nexus 7, which is tipped to arrive in July, possibly sporting Android 4.3 or 5.0.

The Bluetooth SIG product detail pictures a very Nexus 7 looking device which touts a model number of K009. This model number is shared with an FCC filing, which reveals the brand name “Nexus” and a Qualcomm CPU with the model number APQ-8064, which is the Snapdragon S4 Pro, not the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 which is named in the Bluetooth SIG pictures. Many previous rumors have pegged the second gen Nexus 7 to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, not the Snapdragon 600, which raises some questions.

Since we do not have any concrete details on the second generation Nexus 7, it is entirely possible that Asus could be utilizing the Snapdragon 600 in lieu of the rumored Snapdragon S4 Pro. If the rumors are true, we should be hearing directly from Google about the updated tablet in a few short weeks.
