Samsung is rolling out a small update for its brand-new Galaxy Note 8.0 in Germany. The 174MB-heavy download doesn’t bring along Android 4.2.2 (the tablet will stay at version 4.1.2), but it does come with software tweaks that “improve stability”, and there’s also the nicer lookin’ transparent notification bar amongst other things.
Software version N5100XXBMF1 is at the moment targeting the 3G model of the device but we’re sure Wi-Fi only variant will get its serving of fresh updates in no time at all.
Even if you don’t live in Germany, you are free to check whether an update is waiting for you. Hop over to “Settings” -> “About tablet” and find your way to check for software updates from there. It really shouldn’t be that hard. 😉
