It’s been awhile since we’ve heard about the rumored Moto X handset from Motorola, and today a new leak from @evleaks sheds some light on the specs of the device. Previous rumors have suggested specs ranging from the decidedly mid-range to the ridiculously high-end, and details from @evleaks are pegging the device as a mid-range offering, and are as follows:

  • Android 4.2.2
  • 1.7GHz dual-core MSM8960 Pro processor
  • 720p HD display
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 10.0-megapixel rear camera
  • 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera

Motorola had previously announced the existence of the Moto X during AllThingsD’s D11 conference, in which Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside revealed that the device would launch before October.

With Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie expected to launch in the coming months, we may just see the Moto X running on the new version of Android’s mobile OS.

Motorola moto x: 1.7GHz dual-core MSM8960 Pro, 720p, 2GB/16GB, 10MP/2MP, Android 4.2.2
