Actually, this particular USB flash-drive might better be called the “ring-finger-drive.”
A Finnish man has redefined what it means to carry around a “thumb drive” with you wherever you go. It may not be 100% mobile, but this particular find is too geeky-cool to pass up.
The Finn, whose hand is pictured here, lost his ring-finger in a motorcycle accident. He replaced his finger with a prosthetic that helped cover up his missing digit. Then, he took it one step further.
In an apparent fit of geekery, the man fashioned his prosthetic finger with an integrated USB flash drive – turning his once passive prosthetic finger into what could be the world’s first genuine finger-drive!
Even when faced with a missing finger, it’s good to know that geeks around the world will always find a practical application for prosthetics… aside from the whole replacing-an-appendage thing.
