After the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, the super-thin Huawei Ascend P6 may get its Google Edition version, as well. The information comes from Pocket-lint which managed to corner Kevin Ho, president of the handset product division at Huawei, to tell them the company is indeed negotiating with Google over something like that.
“We are working with Google to analyse the possibility of bringing out a Huawei Ascend P6 with Google Edition,” Ho said in a one-to-one briefing.
On the other hand, Huawei’s chairman Richard Yu said that their Emotion UI is a much better solution for customers as it adds “hundreds of improvements” over the stock Google Android experience.
So what do we make of this? We do look forward to see another phone getting the “Google Edition” treatment, offering even more options to the users who can’t deal with vendors’ bloatware. Whether Huawei will join this trend or not is still not clear. We will keep our eyes wide open and let you know as soon as there’s something new to add to the story. Stay tuned…
