Verizon has just sent out an invitation to a press event on July 23rd in New York City, where the big red carrier will “unveil the next generation of one of [its] most popular family of devices.” This can only mean one thing, the new DROIDs are coming!

What DROID devices could make an appearance, you may ask? We’re expecting the recently leaked DROID Ultra, DROID Maxx and DROID Mini to be crashing Verizon’s party, which will be replacing last years DROIDs the DROID RAZR HD, RAZR Maxx HD and RAZR M. As with previous DROID smartphones, the three anticipated handsets will be manufactured by Motorola.

While specs pertaining to these devices are still elusive, we have heard that the ULTRA and MAXX could be sporting 5-inch 1080p displays and 10MP cameras, which would be on par with most recent smartphones. Another rumor suggests that the DROID MAXX will have a crazy battery life, delivering up to two days of juice. The devices appear to have Kevlar casings, making the new DROID line tougher than ever.

Get ready folks, July 23rd is the day all will be revealed. Check back with us for coverage of Verizon’s big bash.
