It was back in December 2012 when we first told you about USPTO’s (United States Patent and Trademark Office) decision to reject Apple’s pinch to zoom patent. Like that’s not enough, they did it again, further shrinking the room for the Cupertino-based company to complain. They can still do that, but it’s likely their appeal will lead nowhere.
On the other hand, this is good news for Samsung which has been pressing that the patent be thrown out, saying that its workaround for the feature is perfectly legal.
The pinch-to-zoom patent is just one of the patents involved in Apple’s case against Samsung that sees the two companies’ lawyers batting in courts all around the world…
