Samsung is reportedly slated to release versions of its flagship Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini handsets which will support multiple LTE standards, allowing owners of the devices to seamlessly switch between 4G networks across the globe which utilize varying LTE standards.

The new versions of the handsets will have the capability to switch between LTE networks which utilize TDD and FDD LTE technology. Most of the globe uses FDD-LTE technology, while TDD-LTE is expected to gain popularity in the U.S., China, Australia, Europe and the Middle East in the future.

Expect to see Sasmung’s new LTE switching handsets in the third quarter of this year.
