Verizon quietly launches 500MB Share Everything plan for $40 per month

In response to AT&T’s $20 per month 300MB plan (for a total of $70 per month for an individual), Verizon unveiled something similar though more expensive. The new 500MB Share Everything plan costs $40 per month for 500MB, which is just $10 less than the 1GB plan and $20 less than a 2GB plan.

This, however, isn’t the total price you’ll be paying for using the Big Red’s network. It will cost an extra $40 per month per smartphone and $10 per tablet to use the service, bringing a total of $80 per month per smartphone, before taxes and fees for just 500MB. That’s super expensive option per MB of data so you’re better off grabbing some more expensive plan that makes megabytes cheaper. Or you can get a plan that involves multiple users or “go prepaid”…
