HTC Fetch locator tag shows up on Clove UK

Some time ago we’ve told you about the HTC Fetch, the small device made to allow users to locate their valuables. Well, it has been caught at Clove UK which managed to get some exclusive information about the company’s upcoming product.

As we’ve told you before, the Fetch was designed to make it easy for users to keep track of their belongings. The petite accessory can easily be attached to a keychain making sure you always know where your keys are. It works other way round as well – you can press a button on the Fetch to locate your smartphone.

The Fetch has no GPS of its own and is relying on the smartphone’s built-in sensors. The two (smartphone and Fetch) communicate via Bluetooth so it’s presumed your valuables are always close to you (as is your phone).

The idea is to convince users they need not one but multiple of these where one could be used for keys, another for luggage, your child’s backpack, dog’s collar and so on. That shouldn’t be a problem if you have a ton of spare cash — as I’m writing this, Clove is taking preorders for the HTC Fetch, asking 25 GBP for a single unit. That’s kinda steep, don’t you think?
