Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean updates for two of its tablets, Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE (model number GT-N5120) and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100).

The Note 8.0 users in the UK are the first to get the update, which BTW clocks in at a whopping 1.3GB. This presumingly means many of the things will be changed and improved once the process is completed, though as we don’t have the change log – we can’t really comment.

As for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, it too will get a massive update, one that weighs 895.1MB. The rollout has started in France and we presume that the rest of Europe will follow shortly.

There are few ways to get the latest firmware version. You can either wait for OTA or Kies updates, or cram the software on your own. We suggest waiting a bit, but if that’s not your cup of tea, feel free to download the two firmwares from these two links: Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Bear in mind that this is unofficial route and that something could always go wrong, potentially making your warranty obsolete. Don’t say we haven’t warned you. 😉
