Nokia is apparently working on a Windows RT-based tablet. Yup, according to UnwiredView, the Finns want to invest in the platform that didn’t bring a dime to Microsoft, quite the contrary.
Rumored specs of this device are top-notch and include a 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 32 GB of built-in storage. Moreover, it will be available with a detachable keyboard/stand making for a Surface-like look and feel.
It is said that the Nokia tablet will apparently be announced in September and hit the store shelves in mid-October, with AT&T and/or Verizon Wireless likely to offer it in the States.
Now we want to see Nokia finally entering the tablet market but they should skip Windows RT and go straight to Windows 8. Let’s face it – the RT isn’t actually a desirable platform and thus far not enough users expressed their interest for it. And the same situation is with developers… so why bother?
