5.75mm-thin Vivo X3 launches in China

The new device to get the “world’s thinnest smartphone” is… (drums please)… Vivo X3, and no – it’s likely you won’t be able to get it, except if you import it from China.

At just 5.75mm, this phone is much thinner than the Huawei Ascend P6 and comparable to even thinner Umeox X5, which will launch within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the X3 reigns supreme at the top.

Specs wise, we’re talking about a high-end device that packs a 5-inch 720p HD screen, MediaTek’s 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear (with LED flash) and 5-megapixel front cameras, 1GB of RAM, 2,000mAh battery and 16GB of expandable storage. All this is selling for 2,498 Yuan, which is roughly $408, making for an awesome deal. Again, that presumes you can get this phone in China since we doubt it will ever be released in the Western hemisphere… Or you can wait for the Umeox X5 which should be available in Europe.
