ASUS Transformer Book Trio gets re-announced

For some reason ASUS used IFA to re-announce the Transformer Book Trio, a device that acts both as a tablet and laptop, running Android and Windows. The tablet/laptop combo comes with a 11.6-inch full HD 1080p screen and has two processors to make this magic happen, but the storage can be shared. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese company has yet again failed to release any concrete availability and pricing information, and I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer to get those details.

In the meantime, we keep loving this thing and its special feature to work either in the tablet-only or keyboard-only mode. The latter mode enables users to connect the keyboard to a regular monitor, effectively turning the whole setup into a desktop computer. Pretty cool I would say.

Also included in the mix is backlit keyboard along with stereo speakers and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 16-64 GB of flash storage, and a battery that allows the Transformer Book Trio to work for up to 13 hours in Android or up to 5 hours in Windows 8 mode. Love it! 🙂
