Sony prepared a special version of its Xperia Tablet Z for cooking enthusiasts. The Kitchen Edition tablet is now available for $649, and that money will get you the white Xperia Tablet Z, iGrill wireless cooking thermometer, foldable tablet stand (to use in the kitchen) and a number of preloaded apps and content.

Speaking of app, the tablet comes with the following titles installed: BigOven with 250,000+ recipes (including your own and recipes from friends), Evernote Food that helps you remember the food you love, Juicing Recipes (for starting or sustaining a healthy juicing diet), Food Planner Pro and Out of Milk Shopping List. Plus, let’s not forget 260 preloaded classic recipes from around the world, one for each weekday of the year, and a how-to video series provided by Saveur, a magazine for people who experience the world food first.

Pretty sweet though kinda expensive. I would say you’re better off using your existing or buying a more affordable tablet to use in the kitchen…
