Good news for Android developers looking to test new things on the Moto X smartphone. The company released the Developer Edition of the popular device: Verizon’s version is already available and sans any strings attached is selling for $649.99. GSM model that works on AT&T and T-Mobile will be available on Friday, most likely costing the same 650 bucks.
Both Developer Edition Moto X phones come with 32GB of internal storage, special black and woven white Developer Edition design, and of course an unlockable bootloader. For those of you who haven’t heard, Sprint’s Moto X comes equipped with an unlockable bootloader so that version isn’t available from Motorola (no need).
And that’s not all – DROID MAXX by Motorola Developer Editions are also available for purchase, costing as much as unlocked Moto X phones – $649.99 per piece.
So what are you waiting. Grab one of these phones to be free to change settings, flash a new kernel, and pretty much gain superpowers. 😉
