You may think that the gold iPhone is a bit over the top but many others disagree. In fact, Apple thought this won’t be that much popular model… and was proven wrong, according to the Wall Street Journal report. Now the Cupertino company is facing shortages and has reportedly reached out to its suppliers and ask them to increase production of the gold iPhone 5s by 33%.

At the moment, Apple’s online store indicates that the gold model won’t be ready to ship until October. On the other hand, both the silver and “space gray” iPhone 5s units will start shipping in 7-10 days.
