HTC Desire 709d is the newly unveiled mid-end smartphone heading to China, brought to our attention by the good folks of Unwired View. It comes with a 5-inch screen but it can only “handle” qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. Rest of the specs include Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing one, two SIM card slots, HTC BoomSound (front stereo speakers), 2,100 mAh battery and 8GB of expandable storage. In addition, there’s an array of HTC apps and software tweaks, including Sense UI, Zoe, Video Highlights and BlinkFeed.

The phone’s page at HTC’s website doesn’t tell us which carriers in China will get to sell the Desire 709d and we’ll rather have to wait a little longer to get that information…
