Samsung has managed to move more than 40 million Galaxy S4 units since the device was launched six months ago.

In the first two months, the Korean giant managed to sell 20 million Galaxy S4 smartphones, and then another 10 million in the consecutive two months. The growth in sales has slowed down since then, with only around 5 million units said to have been shipped in August.

Sammy’s flagship is no longer the best phone on the market, at least until the Snapdragon 800-powered unit start selling all around the world — at the moment, such model is only available in South Korea. Meanwhile, folks looking for a top-end device are better off grabbing either the LG G2 or Sony Xperia Z1. It remains to be seen whether the Korean giant will able to repeat the success with the updated version of Galaxy S4…
