iDevices, which we know as the maker of the iGrill wireless meat thermometer, announced the iGrillmini, an ultra compact version of the same device with Bluetooth Smart technology. The new model boasts a slew of performance features, including a proximity sensor for low energy consumption and an unmatched 150 hour battery life.
About a quarter the size of the original iGrill and sporting a more rugged exterior with a smart LED indicating the doneness of food, the iGrillmini will sing along compatible iOS devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 3, and newer) through a dedicated app. Android users on their end will have to wait for next year to be able to check the temperature of the meat sans any wires.
Another neat feature of the iGrillmini is the built-in powerful magnet that enables sturdy and convenient mounting with two viewing positions. Social element also comes included allowing you to easily share what you’re cooking and see what other iGrill owners are preparing.
The iGrillmini will be available for Holiday 2013 through iDevices.com for $39.99, and yes, we think it’s a great gift for BBQ fans. 😉
