Samsung moves 800,000 Galaxy Gear smart watches in two months

Although some critics claimed that Samsung’s smart watch will be an everything but successful product, things turned out very different. According to a Reuters report, the Korean company managed to move no less than 800,000 Galaxy Gear units, which is a rather impressive figure for such a novel device. Even Samsung said that sales were “better than its own expectations,” hinting us there’s money to be made in this market.

Meanwhile, Sammy keeps updating its best smartphones to make them compatible with the Galaxy Gear. Among those “affected” are such bestsellers as Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note II.

Finally, to make its watch even more appealing, the company has recently launched a firmware update that enables just about any notification to be beamed from a smartphone to your wrist…
