T-Mobile-owned GoSmart Mobile has a new smartphone in its offering – Coolpad Flo. The carrier that is best known for its low-cost feature phones is apparently looking to reach more (and different kind of) customers, those looking for additional features while not wanting to spend a ton of cash along the way. In that sense, the Flo’s specs sheet won’t impress anyone, but then again – we shouldn’t expect much more from a $99 product (plus taxes and fees). It rocks a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480) screen, 1GHz Qualcomm chip, 5-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 3G + Wi-Fi connectivity, 1880 mAh battery and 4GB of expandable storage. In other words, Coolpad made this device for first-time smartphone buyers and in that sense it could help GoSmart Mobile get new customers during the holiday shopping craze. To that end GoSmart Marketing Director Shailendra Gujarati said that the Flo will be a “nice option for many GoSmart customers looking for a feature-rich phone at an affordable price.”
