Huawei is preparing to launch the fourth generation of its Honor/Glory devices. Simply called Honor 4 or Glory 4 (depending on the market), it will be a powerful mid-range device offering quite a bang for the buck.

Rumored specs include a 720p HD screen, 13-megapixel camera on the back, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, while Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 will run on top of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The reports are conflicting, suggesting on one hand that the Chinese company will use its own processor, while others say they’ll opt for MediaTek’s MT6592 chip clocked at 1.7GHz. Either way, we may be looking at a winning product here, one that should sell in millions all across the world.

Naturally, Huawei will start with its own backyard where it will offer the Honor 4 / Glory 4 as a (better) alternative to Xiaomi’s popular Red Rice phone. Going forward, we do expect to see the device hitting an array of Western markets. After all, its predecessors were available in the U.S. and few European countries… More to come, obviously…
