If you’re a comic fan, Image comics surely holds a place in your heart. Formed in the 1992 as an alternative to the Marvel and DC comic enterprises, Image helped push the envelope with more mature titles than the standard Spider-Man and Superman fare which, proved to be widely popular. Titles like Spawn and The Maxx changed the comic book landscape forever, and even made their way to cable TV as animated features. Google Play has done us all a solid and is now offering Image Comics’ library through Google Play Books, with popular titles such as The Walking Dead, Savage Dragon and Saga in full HD glory.
If having access to Image classics wasn’t cool enough, Image is offering some of its more notable first issues for free. You can download the first issue of The Walking Dead, Saga, Chew, Invincible and Super Dinosaur. Pricing varies, but single issues tend to cost $2.51, and top out at $31.19 for The Walking Dead Compendium One. Not too shabby, and definitely cheaper than the print versions.
So what are you waiting for? Head over to the Google Play Store and download some comics to keep you busy while you’re decompressing from all of that Thanksgiving gorging.
