Google joyfully releases charity donation app for iOS

The holidays is all about giving and sharing. Google understands that as the search giant today launched its charity app called Google’s One Today app on iOS. The way the app works is everyday it shows users details of a different non-profit and encouraged to make a $1 donation — it’s a simple way of showing your generosity to the causes you care about the most.

This charity app is one of the instances of Google being “good, not evil.” If you’re donating, you can also get friends to join in by sharing your pledge through social media. We’re not sure how much of the money goes to said charity, but Google assures us they don’t keep a dime of it. Unfortunately, the app remains exclusive to the United States only. No word yet to when our friends overseas get to join in.
