LG G3 to rock a 2K screen, 16MP camera and octa-core CPU?

It’s not an easy task to make a successor to the LG G2. The Korean company had to be extra careful to make an awesome device next year, and apparently that’s exactly what it plans to do.

It is said that the upcoming LG G3 will rock a 2K screen with Quad HD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. In addition, the phone will have a 16-megapixel camera on the back (with optical image stabilization) and a next-gen octa-core processor.

Unfortunately though, we’ll have to wait for the second half of the year to see LG launching the G3. Meanwhile, we expect that other major handset makers will launch their 2K smartphones, some of which may do that at the upcoming CES or Mobile World Congress.

We’re not sure which company will end-up making that octa-core chip. It could be Qualcomm, LG’s long-standing partner, though it still hasn’t announced anything like that.

This is obviously one of those stories we’ll be watching with great care, getting back to you as soon as there’s something new to add. Stay tuned…
