Epson America announced the Epson LabelWorks LW-600P, a label printer for smartphones and tablets that gives users the ability to “make an endless variety of both practical and creative labels for the home or workplace.”

One of the smallest and lightest devices in its category, the LW-600P connects to mobile devices via Bluetooth, while also rocking USB port for connecting it to computers.

It comes with print speeds of up to 15mm/s at 180dpi, tape widths of 6mm (~1/8″) to 24mm (~1″) for “maximum versatility,” and has its own rechargeable battery.

Alongside the printer, Epson also launched the free Epson iLabel app for iOS and Android that makes this on-the-go magic possible.

Finally, the company also offers API to allow developers to integrate mobile label printing into their apps. Among applications Epson envisions are event ticketing, specialty crafting, inventory management, healthcare, cable & wiring, patch panels and more.

The LabelWorks LW-600P is available now and sold with one or two 24mm tapes included in the box with an MSRP of $99.99 and $123.98, respectively.
