Samsung has announced its Smart Home platform to allow multiple home and mobile devices to sing along in harmony. The platform will let your smart TV, select home appliances, smartphones and tablets connect to each other, bringing along few innovative services.

The Smart Home consists of three main features: Device Control, Home View and Smart Customer Service. The first of the three enables users to adjust settings on their mobile devices or Smart TV to monitor or control other home devices. For instance, you will be able to turn on your ACs or lighting remotely, or by saying something like “going out” to the Galaxy Gear, and the connected lighting and appliances will automatically switch off.

Home View will allow users to remotely check their homes relying on connected device’s camera, while the Smart Customer Service is made to assists users to service all of their devices.

Unsurprisingly, Samsung will start with support for its own devices, commercially launching the platform at some point in the first half of the year. Going forward, the plan is to open-up the platform to devices made by other companies…
